2017 Shaping Up

Hello everyone,

At last nights meeting, KB1JCX stated that this year was shaping up to be a busy one.  With events like Girl’s on the Run, the 2 Regattas, Pedaling for Payson, JDRF, and more, we look to be put to the test.

To help with this, we have this great new website that can help us with posting training materials, discussions, and information about drills.  The general idea of the site is to keep it simple, and it is.  We will have areas locked down so only active members of CA-ARES can see (things like the full comms plan with call tree and contact info)

If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to email me

I am cancelling the CA-ARES meeting tomorrow at the Red Cross due to the storm. No sense putting people at risk. The next meeting will be in January.

NH Championship Regatta

On Sunday October 16th CAARES provided communication support for the NH Championship Regatta in Pembroke. After a fog induced delay the event got underway. No major problems  were reported except one boat that sprung a minor leak and was repaired.

Thanks to all the hams that volunteered for this event.
