CONTOOCOOK VALLEY RADIO CLUB EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING -5/23/17 Present: Jen, Mike, Jeff, Larry, Steve Status of Scholarship Committee: Only 3 applications are available. Chairman Mike has about another 5 which we are not currently able to get a hold of. We are putting this committee activity on hold until we can contact Mike. Discussion: Should we change our tax status from 501 C7 to 501 C3. We called N1KPT, Dave Connor, accountant, for advice. After much discussion, we decided it was way out of our ability to change over, and way too expensive, also. Because of this, we are going to put a hold on the auction idea. After a query by Steve Jones, it was agreed to stop printing minutes of meetings on paper. We will just file them in various computers with backup capabilities. CONTOOCOOK VALLEY RADIO CLUB May 9, 2017 There were 29 people present. Secretaries report and Treasurer’s Report were given. The above reports were accepted. After a report by Pete Jones on how he does auctions and the various successes he has had, a motion was made by Larry Beaglr and seconded by KB1CSI to do an auction for the support of the CVRC Scholarship Fund. All in favor with 1 nay. The Web Master gave us an update and indicated that the transition to a different web address was still in progress. President noted that the dates for Field Day were June 24th and 25th. Note for Band Captains: Bring your computers to the next June Meeting for a software update. Jen gave the menu for Field Day. Steering Committee Minutes for April 25, 2017

CONTOOCOOK VALLEY RADIO CLUB EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING – 4/25/17 Discussion: The meeting began shortly after 7:00 pm.  There were 10 people present: Steve J., Mike, Larry, Frank, Ken, Jen, our President, Dale, Mickie, Jeff and Pete. There was discussion to look at ideas for future projects, on the order of the successful one just completed, the construction of a ground plane antenna. Some recommendations were to refer to U Tube videos by Dave Tadlock and KG6ZZ. Suggested we consider filter kits, other antennas, soldering, etc. Jen noted that Elmering is very important and should strongly be encouraged.  We need to try to organize the effort. Scholarship Committee:  Noted that there are now 8 applications for the scholarship we wish to offer. We decided that the CVRC as a whole will not be reading individual applications. Regular Meeting Minutes for April 11, 2017

CONTOOCOOK VALLEY RADIO CLUB GENERAL MEETING – 4/11/17 The meeting started at 7:31 with 25 people in attendance. The Secretary’s report and the Treasurer’s Report were given. It was added that Jeff Shaw, KB1WTI, gave a presentation on why we need emergency communications. The report was then approved. The Treasurer’s report was given.  It was noted that $440 was taken in in dues and Mickie deposited 916.92 from the Flea Market.  The report was approved. The Secretary gave a report on the previous Steering Committee meeting of March 30th. The Chair asked for a motion to increase the potential offer to Sarah Dustin for John Moore’s antenna tower to$350.00.  The current amount to be offered is $200.00. CONTOOCOOK VALLEY RADIO CLUB GENERAL MEETING – 3/21/17 There were 24 people present at the meeting. The minutes of the 2/28/17 Gen. Mtg. were read and approved. The Treasurers Report was given. The club is financially very stable. The good news is that we have exceeded the goal of collecting $200 for the club Scholarship fund. Totals for the income from the Flea Market were the same, if not better than last years. Congratulations to all who worked so hard on planning and executing the event. Special thanks to Jeff and Jen Shaw, Mickie Clement and others for their leadership and experience. Overall, the event was very successful. Also special thanks to the vendors and the presenters. CONTOOCOOK VALLEY RADIO CLUB EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING – 2/28/17 There were 10 people present. The meeting started at 7:05 pm. There was discussion of trying to continue the ill-fated K1BKE repeater net. No strong conclusions reached. Noted that we will post an invite for volunteers to lead the net, to see if anyone else is interested in trying to resurrect it. The Treasurer’s Report was given by Mickie. Noted that she paid out $600.00 for the new Fusion repeater. Steve Jones read the previous General Meeting minutes. Both minutes were accepted. The club’s insurance is for $6000.00 approx. Mickie had it adjusted to include the new repeater. It was noted by Steve Jones that old HRO gift certificates that have not been used by recipients now amount to approx. $213.00 in value. CONTOOCOOK VALLEY RADIO CLUB GENERAL MEETING – 2/14/17 The meeting started at 7:34 pm. There were 20 people present. The minutes were read of the previous General Meeting. The Treasurer’s Report and minutes of the previous Steering Committee Meeting were also read. The minutes of the previous General Meeting were accepted, as read. Frank Ross gave a report on the new repeater and indicated that it had been tested successfully. Mike gave a report on the Scholarship Committee. He indicated that Dale, AF1T, Steve, N1JHJ and others will serve on the review committee. Kearsarge Regional High School, John Stark Regional High School and Hopkinton High School have been contacted thus far and are included at this time. Steering Committee Meeting Minutes for January 31, 2017

CVRC Steering Committee Meeting 1/31/17 1. The meeting opened at 7:05 pm. There were 11 people present. 2. Discussion began with a definition of the Steering Committee, according to the President’s wishes. 3. Noted that the President can assign chair people to various committees. 4. Jen: The standing Steering Committee shall be defined as: (a) The Executive Officers and (b) the appointed chair people. All members who attend Steering Committee meetings can vote. 5. Noted that the Secretary gave the President a copy of the latest 1/11/17 membership list. 6. The Treasurer’s Report was given by Mickie. She noted that info on the club’s new repeater was forwarded to the Mercer Insurance Company. 7. Also noted that she is completing this year’s tax forms, and that we are a 501-C7 organization. 8. CONTOOCOOK VALLEY RADIO CLUB GENERAL MEETING 1/10/17 1. There were 26 people present tonight. 2. The minutes were read for the brief Christmas Meeting. 3. At that meeting, a motion was made, seconded, voted and passed to purchase the Yaesu Fusion repeater recommended by the Executive Board, for $600.00 4. The minutes of the November Executive Board meeting were also read. 5. Mickie gave the Treasurer’s Report. 6. Frank Ross gave a report on the activities of the Repeater Committee. 7. He noted that the repeater trustee was changed from the resignation of Joe Burke, previous trustee, to the new trustee, Steve Chunn. 8. He also noted that the Repeater Committee consisted of Larry Beagle, Chair, Frank Ross and Steve Chunn. 9. The scholarship Committee report was given by Mike. CONTOOCOOK VALLEY RADIO CLUB – 11/22/16 PLEASE NOTE: THE FOLLOWING REPRESENTS SOME VERY IMPORTANT TOPICS WHICH REQUIRE YOUR SERIOUS ATTENTION. Some discussion and it was moved and seconded, voted and passed to accept both reports. Tech Class Report: There were 9 students present at the Red Cross Building. We will wait and see how many take their Technician Class test and pass. We picked March 19th for our next BIG Flea Market.
