Regular Meeting April 10

I am looking forward to seeing you at the next club meeting, where Dale AF1T will be presenting his Classic Antennas talk. Rag chew at 7pm, and the business portion starts at 7:30pm, with the presentation, coffee, and treats to follow. 3/13/18 Meeting canceled due to storm!

Due to the storm that is expected starting Tuesday morning and lasting until Wednesday, we are canceling the Tuesday night meeting. If you are interested in seeing Dales talk, please feel free to be at the Cheshire County DX Club on Wednesday night. Tech Class Coming in October

The CVRC will offer a Tech License study class starting Friday, October 20 and lasting for 4 weeks.  The class will meet Fridays from 6pm – 9pm at the Red Cross building at 2 Maitlan Street in concord.  The course will use the Gordon West books available from Amazon and other sources at about $21.  The study course is free.  If you have any questions, please email Frank, N1FDR at ARRL.NET (more…)

Tonights Club Meeting!

Tonight at 7:30pm on Houston Drive, Contoocook we will be enjoying the presentation on The Titanic and Radio Communication by Skip Youngberg K1NKR. Skip is President of the Nashoba Valley Radio Club, and is kind enough to join us a second time to edify and entertain. Holding auction to benefit CVRC STEM Scholarship

At our last club meeting we had a very succinct presentation given to us by Pete Jones N1PPJ, who among other things is a professional auctioneer. He offered to donate his expertise and explained to us how we could make thousands, yes, thousands for the CVRC scholarship fund by simply dropping a piece of paper off to local businesses in our area’s, and gathering gift certificate’s, or items that can be auctioned off.  A few minutes of our time could result in being able to give an amazing scholarship to a deserving student entering the science, technology, engineering, or math fields of study. The questions on everyone’s mind were; why should we do this, and how much time will it take from my life? New Info on Antenna Build! Space is still limited!

To all those interested but not yet signed up.      I have been able to obtain SOME MORE PARTS.  If you are interested but figured there wouldn’t be enough parts, I have some news.  I can now accomodate more than 10 people.  We can go for 15, now, instead of 10.   Just sign up.  The antenna will work well, and will handle plenty of power and is only $5.00.  So please reconsider, and try building this antenna.  At the very least, it makes a good stand-by antenna. At the April 11 Meeting

We will have the antenna build with N1JHJ.  There are 9 signed up and getting a 1/4 wave 2m ground plane antenna!  There is 1 left if you are interested, you need to contact events@k1bke.org today! Jeff will also be on hand after the program to register people with the website.  Your user name will be your call, and he will generate a password for you.
